Send me a save game and I'll see what I can find. I'm not experiencing any CTD's from new games (clean install of everything) or from continuing savegames.

I've recieved the savegames, and both CTD on load for me. I can't explain what's going on. Have you tried a new game from a clean install?

Ran through all the items in game via the Alt-W cheat code, no CTD's from cycling through the items.

I'm playing new game ATM. I did have a game freeze while I was taking A10 sector, but not the standard one. Game really froze as if there was some error message that popped up behind the game window (couldn't reach it though). It was on enemies turn (no militia in that battle). However loading a save before the battle didn't made it reappear so I can't reproduce it. It's rather odd that I get such freeze so early in game, actually, I don't remember getting such freeze at all. Usually it's the clock or CTD. This time I had to kill game in the taskbar.

Never mind about the previous game even though I spend days in it to make progress there. It may be useful to figure why it broke but I'll try different approach this game. I've set M.E.R.C. to show on day one and hired Razor/Haywire and have 2 IMPs this time. However, I'll avoid using militia to take sectors, at least for a while. It should speed up things but it will make me use quickload a lot. I'll also check the casino you mentioned and see how it works with current finances. Game is with pretty much default ini (only some cosmetic changes, aside from M.E.R.C. change) and on Expert-Tons of Guns.

Ok, some issues/questions/bugs to report.

1. First a bug - it seems that when you get ambushed by bloodcats you get to position mercs as if you are invading sector. If, by any chance, you had someone already present in the sector your traveling mercs got ambushed, then you have to ALT+X out of the game as you won't be able to position local merc(s) and spread all option doesn't help either. The problem could be in code and related to the entry points problem we have in some sectors

2. LBE Gear doesn't drop from dead enemies. All this time during testing only LBE gear I got from enemies is from stealing. Apparently, the EnemyMiscDrops.xml file needs to be updated to allow it.

3. C11 sector with enemy elite that drops AK-105 seems to be constantly reinforced by enemy after I clear it. This opens a pretty large window for abuse as the guy can be knocked out and stripped of all his armor repeatedly until all my mercs have spectra armors, striker pants and tons of 5.45 ammo. Considering that you can do it very early in game and it takes little more then a day for enemy to reinforce the location, it should be changed. I do believe that enemy should not reinforce out-of-the-city bases after they are clear. Too much exploit possibilities. Also, the casino that I cleared should not be reinforced either as it's pointless to both invade it again or to protect it after all the money is gone from it.

4. Very start of the game may be a bit overwhelming for newcomers as the enemy has 2 larger groups (about 15+ soldiers) that attack you early in day 1 plus the patrols that attack you if you don't have militia trained already. Maybe trim down groups size a bit to make it easier on them. I could handle it though so they are not as much trouble if you know what to do. It does get a bit annoying to have so much enemies try to take starting city. I think I had about 10 battles on day 1.

Uriens, are you using the new tables or the simple drop all (original one introduced in 1.13, does not require xmls)? I don't belive I've gotten around to messing with the XML based drop all yet (and I just play on the 1st "drop all" implementation in 1.13). That one is my bad, sorry, been lazy about that element of the Beta. And now for the rest:

1) that's a .exe limitation, check to see if anyone has mentioned it in bug reports. Otherwise hopefully a coder passing through the 1.13 Beta Test thread will see your post. I believe someone has already mentioned this as a long term bug, but instead of bloodcats it's enemy forces fleeing into a sector you're already in the middle of and you end up stuck in the start position screen with no way to actually place your in-sector forces becuase they were already there in the map.

3) C11 - I can lower its priority in ArmyGroups.XML, just need to check to see which other maps are using Army Type 13 (priority 85%) The problem is with the large starting pool, the queen has troops to spare. The large troop pool also may be the root cause of 4).

4) The original Urban Chaos did warn people about a though fight on all difficulty levels... If I remember correctly there is are a few global variables in the .ini I can use to reduce troop levels based on difficulty level.

I don't use drop all option. With drop all option, LBE gets dropped normally.

Just for the record - I looooooove B14 sector. It's like a Walmart with walking weapon racks. After taking it I usually get 300% more firepower then I had before. Don't change it please. \:\)
